From first click to signed, paid and riding
The platform automates the full rental lifecycle. Each step below pairs what the customer does with what the system and operator do behind it — all already built and running.
-
Discover
A visitor arrives via a marketing or SEO landing page, browses the model catalogue, pricing and accessories, and checks availability by city.
-
Book
A guided wizard walks the customer through city, model, plan, accessories and their details, then submits the request. The system returns a private magic-link portal token — no password required.
-
Review & assign
The operator reviews the booking in the admin console, approves it, and assigns a physical fleet unit. A concurrency-guarded reservation hold prevents double-allocation.
-
Verify identity
The customer completes identity verification with Smart-ID or Mobile-ID from the portal. The personal code is stored as an HMAC only — never in plain text.
-
Sign the contract
A rental contract is generated from a template with the booking, unit and pricing details mapped in, then signed digitally. The signed PDF is stored as the legal record.
-
Pay & place deposit
The customer pays via Baltic online checkout, or the operator records a manual/cash payment. The refundable deposit is tracked as a liability, kept separate from earned revenue.
-
Handover & ride
The rental goes active and the unit is handed over. The customer manages everything from the portal: rental details, invoices, extensions and repair requests.
-
In-life support
Automated return reminders and recurring billing run on background workers. The customer can request extensions and support; the operator tracks maintenance and billing.
-
Return & feedback
The return is scheduled and inspected, the rental is closed, deposits reconciled, and the customer is invited to a post-rental feedback survey.
Every stage is a tracked state, not a spreadsheet note
Bookings, rentals, contracts and payments each carry explicit lifecycle statuses, so operators always know exactly where a customer sits — and automation can act on it.
Booking
Submitted → Under review → Approved / Rejected → Active → Completed / Cancelled.
Rental
Active → Return scheduled → Returned → Closed, with extension handling.
Contract
Generated → Sent for signing → Signed (or uploaded), stored as PDF.
Payment
Pending → Paid, with deposits recorded distinctly from revenue.
